* Advocate for addressing gender inequality and gender-based discrimination as key underlying determinants of violence, in particular against women and girls, by:

Challenging unequal power relations between women and men and socio-cultural norms that emphasize male dominance and female subordination.
Strengthening the engagement of men and boys in prevention, alongside efforts to empower women and girls.
